The Ask Every Student (AES) First Step Form assists campuses in taking the First Step to apply the AES Framework and Toolkit to their campus context.

In addition to serving as a self-assessment tool that will help you identify what AES strategies may be best to pursue on your campus, filling out this form also allows your campus to become an AES Commitment Campus. Commitment Campuses can receive personalized support from the SLSV Coalition’s Campus Engagement and Support Coordinator, and will have opportunities to connect with and receive support from partner organizations and other campuses within the AES network. All Commitment Campuses also have the opportunity to apply for funding as it becomes available.

This form will take about 15-20 minutes to fill out and requires knowledge of your campus’ civic engagement efforts, as well as background information on your campus as a whole. It is designed to be filled out by someone who is leading the campus’ voter engagement program, such as a Vote Coalition Coordinator, or Civic Engagement Director. Since completion of this form officially signs your institution up as an Ask Every Student Commitment Campus, please have a leader in your voter engagement program complete it (ideally a staffer, administrator, or faculty member).

 

After filling out the form, you will automatically receive a response with your answers, including the hyperlinked AES resources associated with each topic for your reference.
